This is a repeatable fix, but only time will tell if it comes back. I keep that one disabled since it got installed byĪnother program and I don't need it. I turned each Add-In back on until I found the one that erased the unread count. I disabled ALL the Add-Ins, restarted and the Inbox (and other folders) started showing correct unread count. Starting in safe mode shows the correct number of unread emails I also use the Exchange account on my iOS iPhone 5S. Outlook can display either the number of unread emails or the total number of emails in a folder alongside the folder name. Unread emails in inbox do not show in the count.
